PYR Madness

I & my sisters are privileged to be youth sponsors for our chruch. We take a road trip every year to Portland with all the kids. Here are some of the images of the cray fun we had.

I always feel a little sacrilegious when I take pictures during prayers but I can't help myself.

Lacey with her crazy car load... she got all the highschool boys in her car.

A few of the beautiful ladies in my car... we got to stop at Starbucks when the other cars didn't. I guess you could say we were a little bit spoiled.

It was mine & Lacey's goal to take pictures of every student that came with us on the trip. We did a whole bunch of little mini sessions from the very start to the last gas station on the way home. It was lots of fun and I love some of these shoots. One of the big reasons I love taking pictures is how you are able to show someone how beautiful they are and help make them feel good about themselves. I feel so accomplished when I do a photo shoot and some one walks away feeling like they are an amazing person. Here are a few of my favorite shots.

I took some of the pictures around the building where our rally was, some at the mall , a rest stop and one at a gas station. We only missed taking one student.

The simple life

I visited my parents a few weeks ago and made myself take pictures this time. They live in the country outside of Ellensburg Washington. I've always meant to go take pictures of the little barn but never got around to it. I love being at their house it's so peaceful and homey feeling.

I think this is my favorite one, I love the tree branches.

They have trees like this all over... I love how they clump together to make one big tree.

My favorite thing about this image is the tire in the front... something about it is just perfect.

This little guy was leaning pretty badly last time I visited and it finally toppled over in the last big wind storm. I had wanted to get pictures of it while it was still standing but I guess better late than never. :)

Why do my pictures show up sooo small?

Every time I put a picture in this blog and try to publish it... it shows up the wrong size! Why is that?

It's my birthday and I'll blog if I want to...

So it was my new years resolution to take pictures every week this year and then bog about them. What can I say,I'm a very slow starter. I love the fact that my birthday is a little over 2 weeks after new years, because once you've totally blown your resolution, you can make it look like you did it on purpose and were waiting until your birthday to really start. Least that's the way I see it. :) I went up to Schweitzer ski resort for my birthday with my sisters and best friend. We had an amazing time, ate too much junk food, watched movies and of course took lots pictures. Here are a few of my favorites. Enjoy!

Lace is really into taking pictures of people upside down.

Know about it!

They had a big fireworks display one night. I have to say I was pretty impressed... it might have been that they were in such a beautiful setting. None the less, it was awesome.
